A session for those who are engaged in teaching or who are about to begin a programme.

 

The session will be a group discussion, emphasizing the goals of a Speaking Skills Programme and addressing queries and concerns raised by the participants, for example:

·Optimal sizes of groups.

·Does 121 work?

·Pace at which to proceed.

·Managing different levels of ability and age within one group.

·Encouraging exceptionally shy children.

·Pitfalls often encountered.

·Overcoming concerns about one’s own ability to speak well, let alone teach it!
